My Journey: How I Came to Understand I Had Colon Cancer

My journey with colon cancer began in the summer of 2019. I had been feeling unwell for a few weeks and had been to the doctor several times, but they couldn’t find anything wrong. I was starting to get frustrated and decided to get a second opinion.

The second doctor ran some tests and found that I had anemia. He suggested that I get a colonoscopy to check for any other issues. I was hesitant at first, but I decided to go ahead with it.

The colonoscopy revealed that I had a tumor in my colon. I was shocked and scared. I had no idea what this meant for my future. The doctor told me that I had colon cancer and that I would need to start treatment right away.

I was scared and overwhelmed. I had so many questions and didn’t know where to start. I started researching colon cancer and learning as much as I could about it. I also started talking to other people who had been through the same thing.

Through my research and conversations, I started to understand what I was facing. I learned about the different treatments available and the side effects that I might experience. I also learned about the importance of diet and exercise during treatment.

I started my treatment and was determined to fight this disease. I was determined to beat it and live a long and healthy life. I had a lot of support from my family and friends, which helped me stay positive.

My journey with colon cancer has been a long and difficult one, but I am grateful for the lessons I have learned. I have come to understand that cancer is not something to be feared, but something to be faced head-on. I have also come to understand the importance of self-care and the power of positive thinking.

My journey with colon cancer has been a difficult one, but it has also been a journey of growth and understanding. I am thankful for the lessons I have learned and the strength I have gained.
